Thank you for your interest in work experience at Sheffield Theatres.

We currently offer a work experience programme for students in Years 10 - 13.

Details

Our work experience will run over a week in which you will gain experience in a variety of roles within the industry working alongside experts in their field.

Students will gather a snapshot of each department of the theatre and will be doing something new each day. Students will also work towards achieving a Bronze Arts award during their time with us. 

Please note we are unable to accommodate Work Experience students from outside of the Sheffield area and outside of these selected dates and times.

We have two dates for Work Experience 2026:

Mon 9 - Fri 13 February (10am - 5pm)

Mon 1 - Fri 5 June (10am - 5pm)

Interview workshops will be held on Mon 1 and Tue 2 December 2025 between 5pm - 7pm at Sheffield Theatres. 

Deadline for applications will be on Wed 19 November 2025. 

Shortlisted applicants who will be invited for the Interview Workshop will be notified on Fri 21 November 2025.

All shortlisted applicants who attend the Workshop Interview will be notified on Fri 5 December 2025 on whether they are successful or not for the Work Experience Week in February 2026.

June 2026

Interview workshops will be held on Mon 2 and Tue 3 February 2026 between 5pm - 7pm at Sheffield Theatres. 

Deadline for applications will be on Wed 21 January 2026. 

Shortlisted applicants who will be invited for the Interview Workshop will be notified on Fri 23 January 2026.

All shortlisted applicants who attend the Workshop Interview will be notified on Fri 6 February 2026 on whether they are successful or not for the Work Experience Week in June 2026.
