  • The Crucible and Lyceum theatres in the sunshine with blue sky behind. The Crucible is a brutalist building with a glass panelled room held up by concrete pillars and a panel above which reads in capital letters: CRUC!BLE. The Lyceum is a grand Victorian theatre, painted cream and burgundy. It has a rounded corner topped with a green lead turret with a statue of Mercury at the very peak.
