Our targeted engagement programmes to inspire passion and confidence in the Bards work, through practical exploration, performance and study.
Join us for a unique and daring creative response project to our Sheffield Theatres production. Over half a term, come and see the show, take part in workshops to discover key themes, hidden messages and infamous characters, developing a brand new piece of theatre to be performed on the set of the production.

The Shakespeare Experience
A dynamic, inspiring and fun-filled day of Shakespeare on the Crucible stages.
Artistic director Robert Hastie, with Shakespeare practitioners Phil Sheppard and Kirsty Surgey, lead a series of interactive and exploratory workshops bringing to life Shakespeare’s much-loved texts onto our unique thrust stage – designed and built to stage The Bards classics.
With targeted Key Stages and texts throughout the year, ideal for both students of English literature and Theatre Studies.
Tickets are £6.00 per student for a full day of workshops (with one free supervisory ticket for every 10 tickets bought).
Tour and Explore Days
Ideal for both primary and secondary school engagement, for Arts Award programmes, creative enrichment or to support your curriculum, spend the day exploring with us at Sheffield Theatres through drama workshops, hands-on activities and a backstage tour, gaining invaluable insight behind the scenes and into theatre making.
A term long creative project which practically engages children and young people with every facet of storytelling and the theatre-making, including playwriting, technical theatre, design, fundraising, marketing and performing. Now booking for September 2019.
