Designed to support both Artsmark and Arts Award initiatives, enrich the curriculum and foster a lifelong passion for theatre and the arts, Sheffield Theatres are dedicated to engaging children, young people and their schools with our work.

Storyframe

A term long creative project which practically engages children and young people with every facet of storytelling and the theatre-making, including playwriting, technical theatre, design, fundraising, marketing and performing.

Where: At your school and Sheffield Theatres
Suitable for: Primary (from year 2)/Secondary
Ideal for: Performing Arts enrichment, Drama curriculum engagement, English curriculum engagement, Arts Mark projects.
Cost: £450 plus VAT

Shakespeare Begins

Coming in September 2018, join us for a unique and daring creative project that will pull apart the very fabric of Shakespeare!

Primary
A practical and exciting 50 minute drama workshop to introduce the key themes, characters and narrative of Shakespeare’s
most celebrated comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Where: At your school or Sheffield Theatres
Suitability: For Primary schools, KS1 and 2.
Cost: £125.00 plus VAT (max of 30 pupils)

Secondary
Join us for a unique and daring creative response project to our magical production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Over half a term come and see the production, take part in workshops to discover key themes, hidden messages and infamous characters, developing a brand new piece of theatre to be performed on the set of the production.

Where: At your school and Sheffield Theatres
Suitability: Year 6 and Secondary schools.
Cost: £420.00 plus VAT (max of 30 pupils)

Museum of my Mind: free pilot arts programme opportunity

In September, would you and your class like to be part of an exciting new multimedia, intergenerational pilot arts project, culminating in the creation of an interactive performance museum?

Museum of my Mind is a collaborative reminiscence arts programme for older people living with dementia and younger participants, nurturing empathy, understanding, fun and creativity.

Ideal engagement for: Drama, History, IT, Art, Citizenship, PSHE, and ESOL
