Open Works Festival presents Introduction to Clowning.

Ever wondered how to land that joke? How to do a double take? How comedy actually works? In this workshop we will introduce you to the foundations of funny- also known as clowning. We will study Le Jeu- the art of play. We will explore how to listen and connect to our audience and our stage partners. We will train our sense of rhythm and discover how this can make a moment more interesting or powerful or funny on stage.

This workshop is for anyone interested in performing and especially anyone interested in making people laugh.
