About
Crossed Wires presents Dimbleby
The legendary BBC broadcaster, interviewer, and documentary maker David Dimbleby is one of the country’s most celebrated journalists. And his series for Radio 4’s The History Podcast, Invisible Hands, did something that many may have not thought possible: it turned a complicated idea - the free market revolution - into the most gripping of tales, which began with a dogfight above our skies during World War 2, and ended, somewhat ignominiously, with the parlous state of Britain’s rivers today.
And he’s back, with a new series, this time, telling the story of how the USA became the global superpower in the twentieth century - and where it has gone since. This session will see David interviewed about his life, his work, and his new season of Invisible Hands.
Important note from Crossed Wires Festival: As tickets are free, people often request more than they need, so we have to issue more tickets than there are seats available to allow for this. Entry into the show is on a first come, first served basis, and is not guaranteed even with a reservation. Please arrive in good time.
