Writing Workshop

Sat 17 February 9.30am - 11.30am

Led by Chicken Soup. playwrights Ray Castleton and Kieran Knowles.

Gain an insight into how to write plays for theatre, exploring how to get started and the process of development.

Participants are advised to see Chicken Soup. in preparation for this session.

Directing Masterclass

Sat 3 March 9.30am - 11.30am

Based on Frost/Nixon, explore how to find a balance between the public and private persona when directing iconic figures in dialogue.

Acting Masterclass

Sat 31 March 9.30am - 11.30am

Based on The York Realist, look at subtext, the actors' motivation and how to maintain this in both intimate and group scenes.

Participants are advised to see The York Realist in preparation for this session.

Accessibility in Theatre Workshop

Sat 12 May 9.30am - 11.30am

Based on Our Country's Good, this workshop is an introduction to the exciting possibilities that are opened up when you make theatre that is accessible to D/deaf and disabled audiences.

All workshops are suitable for those aged 16+
