We’re offering students who study Drama, Performing Arts or English at a School or College anywhere in South Yorkshire a free ticket for productions in the Crucible as part of our new scheme called IGNITE.

We believe that the experience of live theatre can be transformative and life-enhancing. We also believe in the importance of a rich cultural education for young people. Ignite is designed to remove the barrier of cost for young people who are passionate about theatre. It is a statement of support for those studying Drama and Performing Arts anywhere in South Yorkshire, and the schools that offer those subjects, at a time when the arts in schools are under threat.

Ignite cards will be distributed to Drama and Performing Arts teachers to reach as many young people as possible in the city and students can either present this card to the Box Office, or provide a headed letter or email which confirms they’re a Drama or Performing Arts student in a South Yorkshire school or college.

Free tickets are currently available across all Sheffield Theatres Productions in the Crucible.

All tickets are subject to availability, tickets can only be booked at the Box Office or over the phone. Eligible students are offered one free ticket per production, with a second at £5.00.
