Live for 5 FAQs

What is Live for 5?

Live for 5 is a scheme where we offer £5.00 tickets to young people aged 16-26.

Great! How do I get tickets?

Live for 5 tickets are available online at sheffieldtheatres.co.uk or by contacting our box office on 0114 249 6000.

If you have bought Live for 5 tickets in the past, and your account is registered online then you are ready to go. You’ll need to log in to the website before you start looking for tickets. To do this, click on the person symbol in the top right hand corner of the screen and input your password (if you don’t have a password click on the link for ‘Forgotten Password’ and then enter your email address. You’ll be sent a link to set a password for your account).

But I’m new...

Don’t worry! To set up a new account click on the person symbol in the top right hand corner of the screen and register as a ‘New Customer’. Make sure you get your date of birth correctly in the ‘Your Details’ section! Once you’ve completed your set up your account will take 24 hours to complete. After this you’ll be able to buy Live For 5 tickets!

Or call our Box Office on 0114 249 6000 and we will get you set up straight away, and book your tickets.

Where do I get my tickets once I’ve booked?

Once you’ve booked online you’ll be able to collect your tickets from the Box Office before the show. Make sure you bring some ID with you the first time you visit us.

How many tickets can I buy?

You can buy two £5.00 tickets per production. For example you can get one pair of Live for 5 tickets for Julius Caesar which will cost a total of £10.00.

Here’s what’s new!

When do tickets go on sale?

Live for 5 tickets will be available at 5.00pm on the first Friday of the month.

How does it work online?

Tickets go on sale on the first Friday of each month.

From the Wednesday before the tickets go on sale on the Friday, you will start to see the ‘Live for 5’ ticket type in the pricing section on each relevant performance.  If you try and buy these tickets before the offer is available, you will be charged full price – so please don’t try!

On Friday at 5.00pm Live for 5 tickets will be made available.  Make sure you are registered for the scheme, have an online account, and are logged in.  Put tickets in your basket, and select ‘Live for 5’ from the drop down list, and continue.  If Live for 5 tickets are still available then the price on up to 2 of these tickets will be shown as £5.00 each.

But my tickets are not reducing...

Are you registered and logged in?

The offer will only work at 5.00pm on the first Friday of the month. If you try too soon, it will not work.

If you answer yes to all of the above, and it does not reduce your tickets, the Live for 5 tickets have sold out.

Make sure you like our Live for 5 Facebook page here too!
