This topsy-turvey story is set in the Japanese town of TitiPu.  Nanki-Poo, the son of the Mikado returns to the town disguised as a trombone player in a travelling band to woo the beautiful Yum Yum. Yum Yum unfortunately is betrothed to her guardian, KoKo, the Lord High Executioner of Titipu. The fun starts when the Mikado demands an execution, and KoKo has to find a suitable victim…

With songs such as Tit Willow, A Wandering Minstrel, and Three Little Maids from School, The Mikado is the most well-known of the Savoy operas. This lively and traditional production is bound to add plenty of colour!
