The Montgomery: Betty Blue Eyes

Presented by Ellesmere Musical Theatre Company

The Sheffield premiere of this new musical comedy.

Betty Blue Eyes is a hilarious musical comedy based on the Alan Bennett film A Private Function, which starred Sarah Lancashire in the West End. The show centres on a sweetly hopeless chiropodist and his waspish, socially ambitious wife. Alongside them, greedy and self-important councillors want to celebrate the forthcoming royal wedding with more than rationed spam – cue the eponymous Betty, a cute unlicensed pig being reared for their feast. Will she be eaten or will they be found out?
