Acclaimed British director, screenwriter and artist, Peter Greenaway is widely regarded as one of the most original and important filmmakers of our time.

His body of work stretches back to the 1960s and includes the features The Draftsman’s Contract and The Cook the Thief his Wife her Lover and the multimedia project the Tulse Luper Suitcases.

Now Based in Amsterdam Peter comes to Sheffield Doc/Fest for the first time to discuss his past, current and future work, including the hugely ambitious seven-hour documentary about the life of the German theologian and religious reformist Martin Luther, and to explore the forms that art takes when responding to social, cultural and political changes.
