'Gentlemen don’t go for walks on Sat’day afternoons wi’ buffer girls!

Well it’s about time they did!

Daniel, heir to Thornton’s Cutlery, and Lizzie, outspoken buffer girl, fall for each other in the midst of a world of hardship and industrial unrest where life, as the grinders say, is a grind.

With eight original songs, this new musical is a lively, funny, poignant story of life in Sheffield, 1922. It’s from Spectrum Theatre, whose adaptation of A Christmas Carol sold out last year.
