We are recruiting for freelance roles on the tour of the Sheffield Theatres and Ramps on the Moon co-production of Much Ado About Nothing, which is directed by Sheffield Theatres’ Artistic Director Robert Hastie. Every performance features the use of integrated creative sign language, audio description and captioning. Ramps On The Moon is the pioneering initiative committed to putting deaf and disabled artists and audiences at the centre of their work.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To work on the fit up at each venue to set up all sound equipment in order to recreate the original design
- To be the Sound Operator on shows
- Work with the Production Manager to advance the production’s technical requirements with each venue from a sound perspective according to an agreed technical rider
- To ensure that sound equipment is safely operated and maintained, any defective equipment is taken out of service, labelled appropriately, and any defects or problems reported to the Head of Sound
- To undertake any routine repair and maintenance work as required
- To be aware of current health & safety legislation and ensure that statutory, licence and fire regulations are adhered to
To work alongside other departments and be helpful and accommodating with any reasonable tasks
Working Pattern:
Monday 2pm-10pm
Tuesday 9am-10pm
Then all performances for the rest of the week
