We are recruiting for freelance roles on the tour of the Sheffield Theatres and Ramps on the Moon co-production of Much Ado About Nothing, which is directed by Sheffield Theatres’ Artistic Director Robert Hastie. Every performance features the use of integrated creative sign language, audio description and captioning. Ramps On The Moon is the pioneering initiative committed to putting deaf and disabled artists and audiences at the centre of their work.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To lead all aspects of scenic building effectively and safely during fit-ups, rehearsals, performances, get-outs and maintenance periods
- To participate in the planning of construction requirements from fit-up and stage rehearsals, as allocated by the Production Manager
- Liaise with Production Manager and Technical Operations Manager to specify flying and rigging equipment / accessories for productions
- To liaise with Production Manager as necessary to ensure production related information is compiled, acted upon and distributed to the appropriate personnel
- To be aware of current Health & Safety legislation and ensure that statutory, licence and fire regulations are adhered to
- To maintain a proper record of all stock & equipment.
- To work collaboratively alongside other departments and be helpful and accommodating with any reasonable tasks
- Carpentry and rigging skills essential
Working Pattern:
Monday 9am-10pm fit up
Tuesday 9am-6pm
Saturday 10pm-2am approx. for get out
