Sheffield Theatres nominated for five UK Theatre Awards

Sheffield Theatres has received five nominations at the UK Theatre Awards.

Artistic Director Robert Hastie has been nominated for Best Director for Julius Caesar. Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has been nominated for Best Musical with John McCrea nominated for Best Performance in a Musical. Everybody’s Talking About Jamie designer Anna Fleischle has been nominated for Best Design. The Who’s Tommy, a New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich and Ramps on the Moon co-production, has been nominated for Best Touring Production.

Best Musical Production: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie
Best Director: Robert Hastie for Julius Caesar
Best Performance in a Musical: John McCrea for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie
Best Design: Anna Fleischle for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie
Best Touring Production: The Who’s Tommy a New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich and Ramps on the Moon co-production.

The awards, which recognise theatre outside of London, will take place on Sunday 15 October.
