We're taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge, in a bid to raise £6000 and unlock match funding to support Launchpad - our creative project for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
From midday on Tuesday 3 December to midday on Tuesday 10 December, we are raising funds for this project to help pay for costs, including theatre industry professionals to support and co-create the show with participants, the set and costumes, and for support workers.
We have just one week to raise £6,000 which will be matched to raise a total of £12,000 for Launchpad.
The match funding pot of £6000 is comprised of £3000 from The Big Give and a £3000 donation from a generous individual.
Dan Bates, Chief Executive of Sheffield Theatres, said: ‘Launchpad is at the very heart of what we do – welcoming everyone through our doors and celebrating the joy of creativity and live theatre. We’re so excited to be launching The Big Give Christmas Challenge and to be raising not only funds, but an awareness of our Launchpad project which has such a powerful impact on participants.’
The Big Give Christmas Challenge will take place from Tuesday 3 December at midday, and will run until Tuesday 10 December. Donations to help the us achieve its £6000 target can be made online at http://bit.ly/STBigGiveChallenge
