Full casting has been announced for Sheffield Theatres Christmas production of Irving Berlin’s Annie Get Your Gun.

Anna-Jane Casey, who is back on the Crucible stage after appearing in the UK Theatre Award nominated musical Flowers for Mrs Harris, plays sharp shootin’ Annie Oakley. Ben Lewis, who most recently appeared in the UK tour of Love Me Tender and Forbidden Broadway, plays love interest and shooting rival Frank Butler.

Nicolas Colicos (Sister Act and Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), plays Buffalo Bill, Mike Denman, (Matilda) plays Pawnee Bill,  Lauren Hall (Kiss Me Kate) plays Winnie Tate, Matthew Malthouse, (My Fair Lady), plays Foster Wilson, Timothy Quinlan (Mack & Mabel) plays Charlie Davenport, Cleve September (In The Heights) plays Tommy Keeler, Maggie Service (Rules for Living) plays Dolly Tate, and Karl Seth (Bend it like Beckham – The Musical) plays Chief Sitting Bull.

Completing the ensemble are; Josh Andrews, Ronan Burns, Emma Caffrey, Matthew Croke, Omari Douglas, Rosie Fletcher, Melissa James, Jasmine Kerr, Natasha Mould, Jak Skelly, Leah West and Emma Woods. See the full cast here.

Directed by Paul Foster (Tell Me On a Sunday, Sweet Charity) Annie Get Your Gun is aimed straight at the heart. Irving Berlin’s sensational musical from the Golden Age of Broadway includes such classics as There’s No Business Like Show Business, Anything You Can Do and I Got The Sun In The Morning, as well as whip-cracking choreography from Sheffield favourite, Alistair David.
