Everybody’s Talking About Jamie extends West End booking period
The West End transfer of Sheffield Theatres’ production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will be extending its booking period to October 2018.
Set in Sheffield the show centres around Jamie New who, supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight. This fearless, funny, fabulous brand new musical sensation hits London with catchy new songs by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling Dan Gillespie Sells and writer Tom MacRae, starring John McCrea in the title role.
The show transferred to London’s Apollo Theatre, following a successful run at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre during February 2017, and opened late last year to high-praise from both national press and audiences alike.
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has also received huge awards acknowledgement, taking home the titles of Best Musical Production and Best Performance in a Musical at the UK Theatre Awards, and the Attitude Magazine Culture Award 2017. This ground-breaking show is also nominated for four What’s On Stage Awards: Best Actor in a Musical for John McCrea, Best Actress in a Musical, Best Supporting Actress in a Musical and Best New Musical, for all of which the voting is now open.
Tickets for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at London's Apollo Theatre are on sale now, and tickets for this extended period (Saturday 6 October 2018) will go on sale Friday 12 January 2018 via 0330 333 4809 and EverybodysTalkingAboutJamie.co.uk.
