Everybody’s Talking About Jamie – Cast Announced

We’re thrilled to welcome a fantastic cast to the Crucible for next year’s new musical, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

John McCrea, (The Sound of Music and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium) leads the cast as 16-year-old Jamie New.

Mina Anwar (Coronation Street, The Thin Blue Line) plays Leigh , Luke Baker (Footloose, American Idiot, Sunny Afternoon) plays Dean, Tamsin Carroll (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Barnum, Miss Saigon) plays teacher Miss Hedge, Charles Dale (Casualty, Coronation Street) plays Hugo, Spencer Stafford (Groundhog Day, Billy Elliot) plays Jamie’s Dad and Josie Walker (Matilda The Musical) plays Jamie’s mum Margaret.

Completing the ensemble are; Daniel Anthony, Courtney Bowman, Gabrielle Brooks, Raj Ghatak, James Gillan, Barney Hudson, Kush Khanna, Harriet Payne, Shiv Rabheru, Lucie Shorthouse and Kirstie Skivington.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is a new musical by The Feeling’s Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae (Doctor Who) directed by Jonathan Butterell. Packed with catchy pop songs, this coming of age story with a twist will have everyone talking about Jamie for years to come.
