Cast Announced for Of Kith and Kin, Desire Under The Elms and Uncle Vanya

Casting for three productions in the Sheffield Theatres' autumn season has been announced.

Of Kith and Kin is a world première in the Studio this September and is co-produced with the Bush Theatre. Directed by Robert Hastie and written by Chris Thompson, the cast includes Joanna Bacon (Him & Her), Donna Berlin (Anna Karenina), James Lance (Teachers, I'm Alan Partridge), Chetna Pandya (Black Mirror) and Joshua Silver (The Moonstone, Wolf Hall/Bring Up The Bodies).

Desire Under The Elms by Eugene O'Neill is one of the great American plays and will be performed in the Crucible Theatre this September. Sam Yates directs Me'sha Bryan (Caroline or Change), Emma Darlow (Playing For Time), Aoife Duffin (The Taming of the Shrew), Matthew Kelly - who returns to Sheffield following 2013's The History Boys, Theo Ogundipe (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead), Sule Rimi (Barber Shop Chronicles) and Michael Shea (Peter and the Starcatcher).

Uncle Vanya is a co-production with Theatr Clwyd and directed by Tamara Harvey, who returns to Sheffield following 2015's Pride and Prejudice. The cast includes Jamie Ballard (Ripper Street), Robert Blythe (Twelve Angry Men), Oliver Dimsdale (Sheffield Theatres' The Comedy of Errors), Sharon Morgan (Hinterland), Sian Owens (The Tempest), Shanaya Rafaat (Silk), Veronica Roberts (Mr Turner), Rosie Sheehy (Strife) and Martin Turner (Sheffield Theatres' Promises, Promises).
