Award nominations for Sheffield Theatres productions

Sheffield Theatres has recently seen a flurry of award nominations for both the Broadway World Awards and the Evening Standard Awards.

In the Broadway World Awards, Sheffield Theatres is nominated in four categories: Best Actor in New Production of a Play for Ben Batt in The York Realist, Best Supporting Actor in a New Production of a Play for Jack Tarlton in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Best Set Design of a New Production of a Play or Musical for both Janet Bird’s design for The Wizard of Oz and Peter McKintosh’s design for The York Realist, and Best New Regional or Touring Production for Chris BushSteel, directed by Rebecca Frecknall.

For the Evening Standard Awards, Robert Hastie is nominated for the Milton Shulman Award for Best Director for his production of The York Realist, a co-production between Sheffield Theatres and the Donmar Warehouse.

Voting for the Broadway World Awards is open from now until November 23, with the winners announced soon after. The winners of the Evening Standard Awards will be announced on November 18 and are selected by a panel of judges.
