Schools, Colleges & Universities

There are a number of ways for you and your students to get more involved with Sheffield Theatres and our productions during this season.

Primary School Workshops

For Primary Schools we offer workshops aimed at giving practical insights and a first introduction to theatre. The workshops below give a good base on which we can build the session around your specific school’s needs. The workshops generally last 2 hours, but we can plan bespoke days which may include a workshop and tour or meet some of the team. If the workshops below aren’t quite what you are looking for please do get in touch to talk about other opportunities to engage with the theatre.

Introduction to Shakespeare

Explore one of Shakespeare’s plays, look at the language and discover more about the play and characters in this  practical session.

Exploring Character and Text

A workshop exploring character archetypes, giving pupils ideas in how to develop their own characters and bring stories to life from a script.

A 2 hour workshop for a maximum of 35 children costs £250.00 (plus VAT) for first one then £100 extra for every additional identical workshop that happens on the same day.

Work Experience

If you are aged 14-17 and interested in a career in theatre, we offer a week long Work Experience placement exploring a variety of careers in the field. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the theatre and meet industry professionals to find out what really goes on behind the scenes.

Applications are now closed for 2016. Please keep checking this page for other opportunities.
