Buying Tickets
The Box Office is located in the Crucible Theatre. Tickets are available to purchase for performances within Sheffield Theatres (the Crucible, Lyceum and Studio Theatres), as well as for events sold by our partners at Sheffield City Hall and Sheffield Motorpoint Arena.
Opening Times
10.00am – 8.00pm Monday – Saturday
When there isn’t a performance in any of the auditoria, the Box Office will close at 6.00pm.
On the first Tuesday of each month, the Box Office will open at 11.00am.
Opening times vary during holiday periods and every effort is made to communicate these opening times via the website, on our phones and in the building.
The Lyceum Box Office is open one hour before any scheduled performance takes place, however, tickets can be purchased and collected in advance of its opening from the main Box Office in the Crucible.

Concession Availability & Guidelines
Concessions are available from the Box Office and, wherever possible concessions are also offered online. Please visit the Discounts section for more information.
All offers and discounts are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.
Only one discount type applies per ticket. You may be asked to provide proof of concession eligibility at the time of booking or collection and we reserve the right to hold tickets at Box Office for collection in order to check concession status.
Customers who require assistance in order to attend the theatre are offered a special discount which is available by contacting the Box Office by telephone or email.
Seating for customers who have access requirements is not currently available online and customers who have any special access requirements are advised to contact the Box Office direct to discuss their needs.
Children over the age of 12 months require a ticket.
Terms & Conditions
For Sheffield Theatres events
All telephone bookings are subject to a £1.50 fee per transaction.
(online bookings are subject to a £1.00 fee per transaction).
Reservations are held for a period of up to 3 days. Tickets that have not been paid for in full by the agreed date will be released for sale.
For Sheffield City Hall, Motorpoint Arena and other external events
Bookings are subject to a 10% fee
World Snooker Championship
Bookings are subject to a 10% fee capped at £50 per transaction. Please note that it is not possible to make a reservation on the Snooker Championship.
Sheffield Theatres accepts most major credit and debit cards. We regret that we do not accept £50 notes at the Box Office. We reserve the right to request to see your payment card when collecting pre-paid tickets and advise customers who have purchased seats online to bring their order confirmation with them when collecting tickets.
Refunds & Exchanges
We can offer to resell tickets once the performance has sold out. Tickets will need to be brought back to the box office and we charge £1.00 per ticket for this service. Please contact the box office on 0114 249 6000 for more details.
There are strictly no refunds on tickets unless a show is cancelled. If you are unable to use your tickets we can exchange them to a different day of the same performance if they are returned to the box office by 12 noon on the day of the event. We charge £1.00 per ticket for this service. This service is not available for snooker tickets.
