The Future 40 Fund
Patrons: The Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire David Moody and his wife, Sue Moody
This year, the Crucible is celebrating its 40th birthday.
With a proud history of staging great, classic plays and spectacular musicals, the Crucible has played host to some amazing theatrical talent: Kenneth Branagh to Julie Walters; John Simm to Joanna Lumley; Una Stubbs to Sir Antony Sher; Miriam Margolyes to Sir Ian McKellen. It has also been a springboard for countless new artists and established itself as the internationally renowned home of the World Snooker Championships.
As we celebrate our landmark birthday, we are also looking ahead to the future. We want to continue to provide exceptional theatre to our audiences and secure our position as a thriving arts organisation for generations to come. This season, we’re launching The Future 40 Fund, a way for visitors to help support the Crucible in achieving its ambitions and continuing the great work for which it has become so celebrated and respected.
The Future 40 Fund gives individuals and businesses opportunities to donate and to get involved with Sheffield Theatres. Make our 40th birthday year the year that you find out more about us through special events and networking opportunities.
