Music in the Round have some very exciting new ventures this Autumn, including four lunchtime concerts promoted by BBC Radio 3, as well as BBC Radio 3's Discovering Music, where Ensemble 360 will be playing the Spohr Nonet, a piece that is part of their second CD. Paul Lewis is giving the first of a series of concerts featuring all the Beethoven Piano Sonatas over the next few years, and we have our first collaboration with Sheffield International Concert Series in presenting Orchestra 360, based on the resident ensemble and conducted by Trevor Pinnock with Elizabeth Watts as soloist, fresh from her triumph as Song Prize winner at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World.
With all the education, community and outreach work, not forgetting the folk, jazz and many other concerts, we have another diverse and exciting season ahead of us.
