As You Like It

As You Like It

"There is a man haunts the forest, that abuses our young plants with carving 'Rosalind' on their barks."

Feuding brothers, concealed identities and unrequited love; all is not as it should be in the Forest of Arden.

Rosalind and her loyal friend Celia, banished from the Court, take refuge in the forest dressed as boys. Here Rosalind meets Orlando, the man she loves, also in exile. Chaos ensues as Rosalind, in disguise, challenges Orlando to woo the woman he loves.

As You Like It is one of Shakespeare’s most enchanting romatic comedies, in which good triumphs over evil, and true love - eventually - conquers all.

This production features Olivier Award-winning actress, Eve Best and will visit Stratford-on-Avon in March 2007 as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company's Complete Works Festival.
