Getting here

The Crucible, Studio, and Lyceum Theatres form a complex situated on the same site in the centre of Sheffield, close to the Millennium and Graves Art Galleries and the Central Library. The main theatre entrances are in Tudor Square, which can be approached on foot from Arundel Gate, Norfolk Street, or Surrey Street.

By road
From the M1 exit at junction 33 and take the A630/A57 Parkway signposted Sheffield City Centre. When Park Square roundabout is reached, take the fourth exit (Commercial Street) signposted Theatres/Galleries. Continue up the hill and bear left on to Arundel Gate. Q Park Charles Street is our associated car park, see website for more details.

Parking
Sheffield Theatres are now working partnership with Q Park at Charles Street to offer our audiences cheaper and safer parking.

Multi-storey car park is within easy reach of the Crucible, Studio and Lyceum Theatres and has been awarded an industry Park Mark Award for its high standards of safety and security.

Those wishing to travel to the theatre by car will benefit from discounted parking from Q-Park for both matinee and evening performances.

Discount vouchers are available from the box office and will also be sent out with tickets purchased in advance or at box office

We are 5-10 minutes walk from the train station and the coach station nearby. Leave the train station, cross the road and walk straight up Howard Street, by Sheffield Hallam University (this area is currently undergoing major re-development). The Millennium Galleries are at the top of the hill. Walk up the obvious ramp to the right of the gallery entrance and continue along Surrey Street until Tudor Square and the theatres appear on your right.

Bus and Tram
The nearest bus stops are on Arundel Gate (50m) and  High Street (300m).  There are two Supertram Stops in close proximity to the Theatres; Castle Square and Cathedral
(400 m).

Access

Drop Off Point
A drop off point for customers with access difficulties is available on Tudor square and allows direct access to both Crucible and Lyceum buildings. Entrance to the drop off point is via Surrey Street and is available from 1 ½ hours before the performance.

Parking
There are eight disabled parking spaces available on Surrey Street outside the library and a further two on Norfolk Street. These are unreserved and operate on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively, Orange/Blue badge holders can park on single yellow lines (or double yellow lines, providing they are not causing an obstruction). There are also 4 easy access spaces in the NCP car park on Arundel Gate, which are charged at the standard hourly rate. Please note: There is a steep ramp from the car park entrance up to Tudor Square

Taxis
