‘I picked Charlotte up and lifted her high up, high up, and then down and up. Do you remember how she laughed?’

‘Everyone laughed’

As Jerry and Emma reminisce about times gone by, it’s clear they both yearn for the security of the past.

After a seven year affair, their final meeting brings to light the destructiveness of their betrayal and how a single moment in time would change the lives of everyone around them forever.

John Simm returns to the Crucible stage alongside Ruth Gemmell and Colin Tierney in Harold Pinter’s heartbreaking comment on love and relationships. 4 stars The Times4 stars The Telegraph

Crucible

The Crucible is the main producing venue in the Sheffield Theatres complex. On occasion, the Crucible hosts touring work. The Crucible is also the home of the annual World Snooker Championship.
The performance area is a thrust stage which extends into the auditorium, enabling the audience to watch the action on three sides. No member of the audience is ever further than 22 metres from the stage, and the sightlines are excellent, offering equality of experience across the auditorium.
