In collaboration with Off the Shelf Festival of Words and Sheffield Theatres
Benjamin Zephaniah and Friends
Presented at Lyceum
Benjamin Zephaniah is one of the UK’s most high profile and best loved performance poets known for his powerful poetry with a political edge. Strongly influenced by the music and poetry of Jamaica, his mission has been to take poetry everywhere and he has toured all over the world. This is a rare chance to hear him perform live, and always keen to help give a voice to new young writers, Benjamin will be joined tonight by three rising stars on the poetry scene – Sanasino, James Massiah and Katherine Henderson.
This performance is part of a strand of events created by Benjamin as Guest Curator for Off the Shelf Festival.
