Following a record-breaking West End season at the Garrick Theatre, where it was nominated for Best New West End Musical at the Whatsonstage.com Awards, David Essex and Boogie Nights creator Jon Conway invite you to experience All the Fun of the Fair at the Lyceum.
Inspired by Davids album All the Fun of the Fair, this roller-coaster ride of a musical features a helter-skelter of David Essex hits, including Winters Tale, Hold Me Close, Gonna Make You A Star, Me And My Girl Nightclubbing, Silver Dream Machine and Rock On.
David Essex plays funfair owner Levi Lee, recently widowed and the father of a rebellious teenage son, Jack. Like father, like son, theyll take you for a ride. Danger and mysticism lurk in the future, as predicted by the gypsy fortune teller, Rosa, who is in love with Levi.
Dodgems and motorbikes, crafty cons and candy-floss, fairground horses and fights along with romance and rocknroll mean youre sure to go on a rollercoaster of a ride, but beware…all is not always fun at the fair!
