Theatre Skills

Our Theatre Skills programme offers people the opportunity to get insights into the world of theatre and live performance from experienced industry professionals.

There are a range of workshops each season offering people with varying experience new and exciting ways to engage with the arts and develop their skills. Workshops range from open access to professional development.

This season, there are the following workshops, full details of which can be found by going to ‘What’s On’ and filtering ‘Workshops’:

Advanced
Auditioning for Stage & Screen (suitable for actors aged 16+)
Sat 18 May 2.00 – 5.00pm
Pick up hints and tips about how to prepare for auditions for stage and screen. Participants are requested to bring a short monologue they are familiar with. Led by internationally experienced screen and stage agent, Ness Evans, and Sheffield Theatres’ Creative Producer, Andrew Loretto.

Summer School 2013

Two fantastic weeks offering adults and young people the chance to play, make, share and perform, working with experienced professional theatre artists. Choose from performing, lighting or stage management. Summer School 2013 will culminate with the public premiere of brand new short plays on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 August in the Studio.
