| Introduction to the School’s
Pinter Project
The ‘Take Care’ project starts on the 14th September
2006 with a meeting for the teacher’s of groups that will
be involved in the project, and culminates in a joint school’s
performance as part of Sheffield Theatres’ Pinter Festival,
entitled ‘Take Care’ on the 8th November 2006.
‘Take Care’ is an exploratory project for students
studying A Level in Performing Arts, Drama or for a BTEC. By taking
part in the project students will have the opportunity to learn
about the work and techniques of Harold Pinter, Britain’s
greatest living play-write, as well as acting and directing techniques.
Following the series of workshops, schools/colleges will then have
the opportunity to contribute to the projects performance ‘Take
Care’, a devised and scripted response to The Caretaker.
The performance will be preceded by a joint Page to Stage event
led by students who have worked on ‘Take Care’.
