Introduction

Welcome to the web resource for The Caretaker.

The resource aims to provide some background information to Harold Pinter and Sheffield Theatres' production of The Caretaker.

Sarah Clough, Education Officer for the Creative Development Programme, is currently interviewing members of the artistic team working on The Caretaker, in order to put together a unique insight into how Pinter's play is taken from the page to the Crucible stage. This section of the resource will be available from October 2006.

The Take Care section of the resource looks at the work and techniques of Harold Pinter, as well as acting and directing techniques. This section will be updated regularly as the Take Care Project develops. Although, this section has been designed for students studying for A Level in Performing Arts, Drama or BTEC, it also provides a fascinating background into Harold Pinter's plays and dramatic techniques.

If you are interested in finding out more about The Caretaker through one of our Insight events or want to engage creatively with the work of Sheffield Theatres click on the Join In link on the menu bar for more information about what is available.

If you would like to find out more about Pinter a Celebration - a programme of performances, screenplays, readings, spearker meetings etc click here.
