Welcome to the Sheffield Theatres’
web pages for ‘The Minotaur’ by Neil Duffield

Pre historic cave painting - Lascaux France
The Minotaur will be performed in The Crucible Studio
from 21st February to 27th February 2004. Additionally, it will
tour schools in South Yorkshire (Primary and Secondary) from 20th
October to 21st November 2003 and again from 1st March to 19th March
2004.
The website resources cover a variety of sections which can be accessed
from all pages using the Menu which is on the left of every page.
The pack is split into three main areas. Firstly, we look at the
historical background to the play including Greek theatre, themes,
myths and legends. The second area of the resource gives you an
insight into how our production has come to life including interviews
with key members of the creative team as well as a week by week
rehearsal diary. The third area of the resource provides teachers
of either Primary or Secondary students with ideas for lessons including
plans for use in the classroom.
This entire resource is printable – just click on the print
button in the top right hand corner of each page.
We would also be pleased to know what you think about this pack
or any of the resources and information included in the full website.
To contact us please click on the ‘Email us’ part of
the Menu on the left of this page.
Finally, none of this would have been possible without the kind
help and assistance of many people. We would like to take this opportunity
to thank the Creative Team and Cast behind The Minotaur
for their time, commitment and enthusiasm in helping create this
pack. Additionally, we would also like to thank the following companies
for their financial support and their commitment to the education
