Primary Section

We hope this area of the website will provide you with interesting ideas and practical ways of teaching Shakespeare to children in Years 5 & 6.

This resource has been written by Jacki Rowley, an experienced Primary school teacher and drama worker who has devised a dance and drama project linked to A Midsummer Night's Dream, on behalf of Sheffield Theatres. The lesson plans have also been shared with Primary school teachers at an INSET training day at Sheffield Theatres in September 2003. Choreography and movement ideas for the project have been created and provided by Dan O'Neill, an experienced choreographer and dancer. His ideas have been written up in the Dance section of lesson plans.

Every page is printable - just click on the print icon in the top right hand corner of each page.
