Welcome to the Sheffield Theatres web pages for Jago's Box by Maggie Willett

Jago's Box will be performed in the Crucible Studio on Tuesday 29th October - Friday 1st November 2002 and it will tour to schools in South Yorkshire (Primary and Secondary) 11th October - 22nd November 2002.

The website consists of the following sections:

  • The synopsis of the play
  • Themes, Themes and Historical Context, Refugees in the Media, Refugees in British History
  • Extracts from the play, these cover five different drama techniques – diary, flashback, letter, narrative and non – verbal communication
  • Set design, written by Juliette Watkinson about designing the set for Jago’s Box
  • Director and Writer, articles written by the director and writer
  • Lesson Plans, ideas for Literacy, Drama and PSHE lessons. Suitable for Years 5/6/7 (Some of which are based on the extracts from the script).
  • Rehearsal diary; a week by week diary from rehearsals showing the process from script to performance
