Presentation Task 4: Character Exploration
This task allows for the dramatic presentation of students’
interpretation of, attitude towards, and opinion of, a key character
from the play. The form of this presentation is the choice of the
group but should communicate to the audience a well informed analysis
of character. Possible formats could be:
• Monologue: either spoken by the central
character, or by other characters about the chosen character.
• Interview: Chosen character interviewed
by either actors out of role or in role, as other characters from
the play.
• Key moments: Combining tableaux with pieces
of commentary to depict the key moments or journey of the character
through the play.
• Multi-Faceted character: Produce a dramatic
presentation that conveys the different sides to the chosen character.
