Introduction

Welcome to the Sheffield Theatres' Production Insights for
The Comedy of Errors.

These resources have been written for all members of our audience,
regardless of age, who would like to know more about our work and
how it is created.

Additionally, teachers may wish to use elements of the resources as a
means of integrating ICT into the classroom and to encourage students in
independent research to support their analysis of live theatre.

For ease, it has been separated into two main sections. The first contains
information focusing on the creation of our production and the second
provides useful background information to the play.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jonathan Munby (Director),
Mike Britton (Designer), Dominic Leclerc (Assistant Director), our Stage
Management and Wardrobe teams, and our full company of actors for their
kindness in allowing us into their rehearsals and sharing their thoughts, ideas
and creative processes with us.

We hope that these resources will enable you to enjoy, and learn more
about our work, and we would welcome any feedback you may wish to give.
