Studio Theatre

The Studio is housed within the Crucible building. It is a very versatile space, allowing performances to take place with seats in many different configurations, including in the round. It was expanded in 1994 to accommodate 400 and is the home of world famous Lindsay String Quartet, who occupy the space for a number of weeks each year.

The Studio also plays host to a number of medium-scale tours and Sheffield Theatres creates work for this stage 3 or 4 times each year.
