The Studio

The Studio Theatre has a capacity of up to 400. Its flexible design allows the seating to be adjusted to play on one, two or three sides or in the round.
The Studio was the winner of the 2002 Peter Brook Empty Space Award. It is home to a a variety of small-scale in-house and touring productions, as well as to the acclaimed Ensemble 360’s tri-annual Music in the Round Festival.

The Studio Theatre is located in the Crucible. It can be accessed through the main entrance to the Crucible on Tudor Square and can be found on the lower ground level.
The Studio offers accessible seating for wheelchair users and it is fitted with an infra red hearing system.
There are accessible toilets on the lower ground floor close to the Studio.
